Furlough pay to end and more than 1000 jobs will go in commercial theatre

Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG), the UK's biggest theatre employer, has told 1,200 zero-hours contract and casual staff their furlough pay will end and their jobs will go at the end of August. Nimax Theatres, which runs six West End theatres, will also be cutting jobs at the end of next month. 130 box office workers, stage door workers, and technical and management staff will be made redundant.
