Equity to accelerate drive for equality in theatre

At the union’s Annual Representative Conference, members voted in favour of a professional development scheme for deaf and disabled theatre professionals and a campaign for more diversity on arts organisations’ boards. The union also committed to tackling bullying and mental health issues in the industry, and lobbying government to protect the rights of workers from the European Union after Brexit.
