ENO deficit falls by 60%

A £2.2m loss in 2012/13 was blamed on poor ticket sales and a reduction in ACE funding, but a £1.3m  increase in box office takings has reduced the deficit this year. Fundraising plans include a ‘secret seats’ ticket scheme, where patrons gamble on where they sit and could end up in the best seats in the house.
