Digital cultural objects released for public use
A dataset of over 20,000 cultural objects has been made available via Creative Commons by Europeana, Europe’s digital library, archive and museum. It is the biggest release of data of its kind into the public domainand the information can be used forany purpose – creative, educational, or commercial. Europeana currently give people access to over 20 million books, paintings, films, recordings, photographs and archival records in 29 languages. It represents 2,200 partner organisations, including national collections such as the British Library in London.
