Croydon’s Warehouse Theatre demolished

Developers charged with regenerating the local area have demolished the venue, which has not been used since 2012, as they did not receive a viable business plan for it to be reopened. Site owners Stanhope and Schroders have transferred the £3m earmarked for ‘cultural purposes’ to Croydon Council.
