Councillors asked to commit £455k to refurbishment of Scotland’s oldest theatre

Dumfries and Galloway Council have had funds in reserve, after a bid to renovate the Dumfries Theatre Royal was rejected two years ago. In the meantime, a business plan has been put in place to finance a £2m overhaul.
