Council seeks lifeline for Margate theatre

Thanet Council, owner of Margate's 18th century Theatre Royal, is seeking potential operators for the theatre in a bid to save up to £100k a year. The Council acquired the theatre in 2007 following financial difficulties faced by previous owners, Margate Theatre Royal Trust.
