Council promises arts investment from venue sale

Darlington's former arts centre has been put up for sale with the local council guaranteeing a ‘substantial’ amount of the proceeds will be reinvested into the arts. The venue closed in 2012 as part of Darlington Borough Council’s £11m budget cuts.
