Conductor James Levine sues Metropolitan Opera after dismissal
Levine is seeking $5.8m (£4.2m) in damages following his dismissal as Music Director emeritus last week. An internal inquiry corroborated allegations of historical sexual misconduct against the conductor, but he denies any wrongdoing and has accused the Met of attempting to “erase his legacy”.
