Following a row over claims the UK rejected visa-free work rights for touring musicians, Bectu has come in to bat for other creative professionals.

The performers' union is urging members to email their MPs to campaign for creative professionals to be included in a list of self-employed workers who can travel to the EU without a visa.

It says it received reports that jobs for circus and other touring work being advertised in the UK are only open to EU passport holders, which advocacy groups have highlighted as a potential consequence of the Brexit negotiations.
