Brewhouse Theatre lease bought by Taunton Deane Borough Council

Councillors voted to buy the theatre, despite Liberal Democrat members arguing that replacing it with a new venue "that is up for delivering entertainment and arts in the 21st century" would be a preferable option. The Council now plans to hand over the operation of the venue to a charitable trust or community organisation.
