BBC Radio 3 commits to championing female composers

A season of programming will focus on female composers and new Controller Alan Davey is: “keen to ensure that there is a greater range of composers across the network”. The announcement follows the release of statistics suggesting that out of the top 150 composers, based on performances in 2014, just one was female.
