Barbican cancels Exhibit B following racism protests

The opening night of a controversial art performance staged by the Barbican featuring black actors in a recreation of a 'human zoo' has been cancelled, "due to the extreme nature of the protest” outside the venue, The Vaults. The Barbican said “we could not guarantee the safety of performers, audiences and staff”. The Vaults has issued a statement saying the five-day run had been called off.
