Arts Council NI resists controversy over Bobby Sands book

Countering criticism by unionist politicians that it was “glorifying terrorism”, ACNI defended its decision to award £5k to O’Brien Press for a comic book entitled ‘Bobby Sands, Freedom Fighter’. It said: "“We do not interfere with editorial content nor do we draw a line regarding content chosen by publishers which may attract controversy. ”
