Applications for music and drama degrees are up, but dance still down
According to UCAS, applications for degrees in drama have seen a 7.3% increase in comparison to last year, after a fall in applications of around 14% in 2012 – the first academic year with fees of up to £9k a year. Music course applications experienced a 20.5% increase, recovering from last year’s 8% fall, but dance degree applications have fallen by a further 1% after an 18% decrease last year.
