A consortium of leading arts organisations aims to connect a new generation of English artists with international partners during Edinburgh’s festival period.

Performance makers selected to take part in the Horizon consortium's showcase will work collaboratively, supported by a community of artists and associates to exchange ideas with international artists.

The consortium members are Battersea Arts Centre, Dance4, Fierce, GIFT, MAYK and Transform. Independent artists working with them to shape the showcase include Javaad Alipoor and writer and director Kirsty Housley.

To break down barriers facing performers, they will resource artists' and companies' wellbeing needs. A “new industry standard” will be set for open and transparent conversations.

This year’s showcase events will take place across England and connect virtually with the Edinburgh Festivals.

Performance makers have until 11 May to apply to take part.
