Derby City Council’s arts team is bringing together arts organisations from across the city to raise funds through the crowdfunding website www.wedidthis.org.uk. The public will be able to visit the website, view the projects that they want to see happen in Derby and then make a donation. Each organisation will aim to generate donations for their individual projects, and donors will be entitled to a personalised ‘reward’ associated with the project, ranging from DVDs and CDs of the work to invitations to be a guest at a project workshop and the opportunity to feature in a live performance.

All of the artists have a connection with the area where they will be exhibiting, and diners will be able to buy limited edition prints, with the proceeds going directly to the artists.

Potential speakers must submit expressions of interest by 19 October.
