The Museums, Libraries and Archives Partnership has published its five-point programme of celebrations for the Cultural Olympiad, identifying how museums, libraries and archives can help deliver its vision for 2012.
The programme, Setting the Pace, includes a literature and story-telling strand, which will aim to generate new work and new readers, and will encompass existing literacy and reading campaigns like the Summer Reading Challenge. Another initiative, The Peoples Record, will use film, photographs and recorded oral histories to document the ways in which people across the country are preparing to be involved in the 2012 Games.
