A new body to represent those working in music education is to be formed as the National Association of Music Educators (NAME) and the Federation of Music Services join forces to become the UK Association for Music Education – Music Mark. The single organisation aims to be a stronger unified voice for advocacy of music education. It will promote best practice, aiming aims to raise standards and improve outcomes for children and young people learning music both in and out of school.
