The Campaign for Museums will transfer its creative capital to an associated charity, Culture24, following a review of Museums and Galleries Month (MGM). The review report highlights the impact and success of MGM, but suggests that new avenues should now be explored. The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council has confirmed that it will not renew the campaign’s funding, and it has therefore decided that it is for others to take forward the recommendations of the report. The campaign’s assets, including the MGM, Discover London Trails and Museums Week brands, and other resources, will be transferred to Culture24 (formerly the 24 Hour Museum).
