The 89 musicians of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) are set to reduce their carbon footprint, thanks to support of First ScotRail, which is providing travel passes for them to reach concert venues in Edinburgh, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness.

The environmental benefits from the new 12-month partnership between the two organizations will also extend to attenders at RSNO performances, who will be offered exclusive ticket deals. RSNO Chief Executive, Simon Woods, said, “As Scotland’s national orchestra we naturally travel an enormous amount… with green issues and petrol prices in the front of people’s minds at present, this is a very timely new relationship indeed”.
