Liverpool’s Albert Dock is to host a free outdoor astronomy exhibition, ‘From Earth to the Universe’, sponsored by the specialist picture agency Science Photo Library, and featuring images taken from the Hubble Space telescope.
Visitors will be able to view the exhibition’s première before it departs on 29 June this year to travel the world in the build-up to the International Year of Astronomy 2009, a global celebration of astronomy and its contribution to society and culture. To reach as many people as possible, the exhibition will be displayed in public parks and gardens, shopping malls and metro stations in major cities around the world.
