Ambassadors’ Theatre Group will pilot a ‘relaxed’ theatre scheme over this year’s Panto season, designed to cater for families with children with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders, a learning disability or for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment. Bookers will be sent detailed information and photos and be invited to attend a familiarisation meeting in the theatre. There will be a designated ‘chill-out’ area for use during the performance. Churchill Theatre’s performance of Peter Pan will be the first to trial the scheme, with Grimbsy Auditorium and Richmond Theatre close behind. If successful, it will be trialled at a West End performance in the New Year.
