Over the next three years £2.5m will be invested in projects led by arts and cultural organisations working with research partners.

A Research Grants Programme worth around £2.5m over the next three years is aiming to “build and improve the evidence base around the impact of art and culture on individuals and society”. Arts Council England is running the programme and hopes that the research outcomes will be sufficiently “robust and credible” to influence policy and persuade commissioning authorities to invest in culture. Grants of £50k to £100k per year are available for one- to three-year projects led by arts or cultural organisations working with professionally qualified research partners.
