People pose in front of a 'The Art of Meeting up' poster, the people are holding a big red picture frame, as if they are the picture's subject

A poster campaign across Nottingham, Derby and Leicester has been launched by Arts Council England, East Midlands to highlight five new arts venues opening across the region, and to promote a website giving the latest details about them. Jointly costing over £90m, the venues are all due to open within the next 12 months. The New Art Exchange in Nottingham – the first dedicated Black contemporary visual arts venue outside London – will open in June this year, followed by QUAD in Derby, First Movement’s LEVEL Centre in Rowsley, Curve in Leicester and Nottingham Contemporary. The poster campaign aims to get people thinking about how they can use these new venues as social meeting spaces as well as being places for experiencing great art.
