David Massey explains how Welsh National Opera has experimented with virtual reality and other technologies to reach new audiences.

At Welsh National Opera, we are always seeking new artistic projects to make opera more accessible. We are aware of the stereotypes that still cling to the art form – many will say that it’s not for them and it’s too expensive, too long, or too formal.  Part of our mission is to banish these misconceptions and to introduce new audiences across Wales and England to the joy of opera.
