Southwell Music Festival has appointed SARAH RENNIX as its new General Manager.

She succeeds FLYNN LE BROCQ, who stepped down to become London Mozart Players Chief Executive.

A singer, arts producer and education specialist, Rennix previously managed education programmes at Britten Sinfonia and The Sixteen, where she coordinated young artist programme Genesis Sixteen and set up Sounds Sublime Festival.

Rennix is also a trustee for SANSARA Choir and SouthWestFest.

Southwell Music Festival Chair Thomas du Plessis said Rennix's wealth of experience in arts administration, music and education will be invaluable to the festival.

"I cannot wait to introduce Sarah to the special community of supporters, friends, artists and donors that Southwell Music Festival enjoys so much and am already looking forward to our next week of fantastic music in August later this year."
