The Regional Theatre Young Director Scheme (RTYDS) has awarded 18-month residencies to three freelance directors.
Director and facilitator OMAR KHAN will be placed at Derby Theatre, having previously worked with Birmingham REP’s Foundry scheme and Tamasha’s Directors Programme.
REBEKAH BOWSER, an alum of BBC’s Writers Access Group and Graeae Theatre Company’s Write To Play, will work with Newcastle’s Live Theatre and Northern Stage.
Althea Theatre Artistic Director LILAC YOISPHON, previously involved in the Young Vic Creator’s Programme and the National Youth Theatre, will be at Leicester Curve.
The announcement comes as Young Vic Genesis Future Directors Award winner CAITRIONA SHOONBRIDGE and ATRI BANERJEE, winner of The Stage Debut Award 2019, join the RTYDS board.
