SHAPARAK RAHIMI has joined The Place’s board of governors.

Rahimi is currently Socio-economic Development Manager at Lendlease, where she is responsible for social sustainability and community consultation on the Euston Over-Station Development. She previously worked in policy development, strategy, and regeneration at the London Borough of Camden.

“With my years of experience working in social sustainability, I’m really interested in the role of The Place as an institution that is embedded in its community and rooted in the Euston and wider Camden area,” Rahimi said.

The Place says its board of governors share their expertise to ensure the growth and future of the dance education centre.

Chief Executive CLARE CONNOR welcomed Rahimi to the board: “As well as having a personal connection to contemporary dance, Shaparak is a key figure in the built environment and is passionate about social sustainability.”
