New board members appointed at Royal Museums Greenwich
EMMA BUNCE, TERESA ANDERSON and JULIA MUNDY have been appointed trustees of Royal Museums Greenwich for four-year terms by Prime Minister KIER STARMER.
Bunce is professor of planetary plasma physics and director of the Institute for Space at the University of Leicester.
She has worked on multiple international space missions and was president of the Royal Astronomical Society from 2020 to 2022 and the board of the National Space Centre from 2014 to 2023.
Anderson is the founder and director of the University of Manchester’s Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement and a professor of cultural and creative industries in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester.
In 2016, she co-founded the Bluedot Festival at Jodrell Bank, which combines science, music, art and culture. Alongside TIM O’BRIEN, she led a 10-year project that resulted in Jodrell Bank being awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2019.
Mundy is deputy director of the Institute for Political Economy, Governance, Risk & Accountability at the University of Greenwich.
She previously worked in financial services, including as an investment analyst, and currently serves on the Audit & Risk Assurance Committee of the UK Statistics Authority and on the Financial Conduct Authority’s statutory Consumer Panel.
