ROXANA SILBERT has been appointed as the new Artistic Director of Birmingham Repertory Theatre. She is currently an Associate Director at the RSC. Prior to joining the RSC, she was Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Paines Plough Theatre Company.

Arts Quarter has added five professionals to its team. It will include: LYNN BLACKADDER, who specialises in organisational development; SUE LLOYD, a development and management specialist; FERN POTTER, who has experience of developing organisations and frameworks for fundraising; JOANNA RIDOUT, a senior manager in mixed arts venues; and PAUL WERB, a marketing, PR and fundraising specialist.

SARAH ESDAILE and NIKOLAI FOSTER are the new Associate Directors at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Esdaile has directed a number of plays at the theatre and was Associate Director at the RSC. Foster most recently directed ‘A Christmas Carol’ for the Playhouse.

HARPER RAY has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Scarabeus Theatre. He was previously Artistic Director of the Raymon review bar, a cabaret venue.

NICHOLAS COLLON has been appointed Assistant Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra for the 2011/12 season. He is currently Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of Aurora Orchestra.

GÁBOR TAKÁCS-NAGY will join Manchester Camerata for his first full season as Music Director in the autumn. He is a founding member of the Takács Quartet, Principal Guest Conductor of the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Music Director of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and holds the International Chair in Chamber Music at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

Black Light, which provides lighting, stage, sound and AV, has appointed CALDER SIBBALD as Events Manager. He has been Head of Lighting at Edinburgh’s Gilded Balloon and Technical Manager at the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline.

FUSE Medway Festival has a new Artistic Director, LÉLIA GRÉCI. She previously worked at The Hawth in Crawley and Manchester Festival.

The Incorporated Association of Organists has appointed JANE ALLSOPP as Congress Administrator. She was formerly Business Development Manager at Birmingham Conservatoire and Chair of the Organ Refurbishment Committee at Birmingham Town Hall.

BECKY SCHUTT has joined the Board of Directors of Festivals and Events International Limited, the Edinburgh- and Brighton-based events consultancy. She is a cultural strategist, working with arts organisations, foundations and governments in the UK, USA, Middle East and Latin America; and a Fellow at the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge.
