JONATHAN HARPER will be Wales Millennium Centre’s new Director of Marketing and Communications from the end of June. Previously, he was Marketing Director at The Lowry lead the marketing team at Colston Hall, Bristol.

Oxford Playhouse and Shared Experience have appointed MICHELLE KNIGHT to the role of Producer. She was has been Producer at Bristol Old Vic, General Manager of Foursight Theatre and Associate Director at UK Arts International.

FIONA MARTIN joins York Theatre Royal as Marketing and Press Assistant, leaving Ormeau Baths Gallery in Belfast where she was Administrator and Press Assistant.

LOUISE MITCHELL will take up her post as the new Chief Executive of Bristol Music Trust in May. She was the first ever Director of Glasgow UNESCO City of Music and was previously head of The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

At the end of 2012, IAN BROWN is to step down from the role of Artistic Director of the West Yorkshire Playhouse, a post he has held for the past ten years.

The Ambassador Theatre Group has appointed NICK POTTER to the newly created Executive Director role of Managing Director (Venues).

PETER KYLE OBE is to take over from Professor Stanley Wells in June as Chairman of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. A former dancer, choreographer and founder of the National Festival of Youth Dance, Kyle was the Chief Executive of the Shakespeare Globe Trust for 12 years until 2010.

Glasgow’s Citizens Theatre has appointed DOMINIC HILL as its new Artistic Director. He moves from his current post as Artistic Director of the Traverse Theatre in October.

PROFESSOR SEONA REID CBE has been appointed by the Prime Minister as the new Trustee of the National Heritage Memorial Fund and Chair of the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Committee for Scotland. Succeeding Dr Brian Lang, Prof Reid has been Director of Glasgow School of Art for the past 12 years and her previous roles include Director of the Scottish Arts Council.

Dane KASPER HOLTEN is to become the new Director of Opera at the Royal Opera House. Currently Artistic Director of the Royal Danish Opera, Holten will succeed Elaine Padmore in September.
 

The Ambassador Theatre Group has appointed DAVID BLYTH to a new board-level role as Property Director. He moves from a similar position in the organisation but his new post includes responsibility for implementing sustainable property management, and health and safety policies.

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds has brought in marketing professional PHILLIP GUNN to join its Development Board to boost fundraising, and attract sponsors, patrons and donors.

MARCUS ROMER, the Artistic Director for York Theatre Royal’s resident touring theatre company Pilot Theatre, is the new Creative Chair for the Advisory Board of Science City York.

NMC Recordings, the record label and charity which promotes classical music, has appointed RICHARD SHOYLEKOV as its new Chair. He is General Counsel for international building supply company Wolseley Plc and a Trustee of the Friends of the Courtauld Institute.
