GRAHAM SHEFFIELD has resigned from the post of Chief Executive Officer of the West Kowloon Cultural District for health reasons.

PAUL ILES has succeeded LORD SHUTT of Greetland as Chairman of Northern Broadsides. Iles is currently Associate Director of the Georgian Theatre Royal at Richmond, North Yorkshire, and a Director of Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House Limited, which also governs Leeds City Varieties Music Hall.

Wales Millennium Centre’s Artistic Director FIONA ALLAN has been appointed Chief Executive of Leicester Theatre Trust, which manages Curve.

The BBC Singers has appointed PAUL BROUGH as its new Principal Guest Conductor from January 2011. He will share the role with the current Principal Guest Conductor BOB CHILCOTT.

The British Federation of Brass Bands has appointed CAROLE SALTER as Administration Officer.

Richard Lee, Director of Jerwood Space, is the new Chair of Stagetext, which also has three new members of staff: Charlie Swinbourne has joined as Audience Development Officer; Deepa Shastri is Live Events Officer; and Roger Graham is the new Technical Advisor.

Kathryn McDowell and South Sinfonia’s Justin Lee have joined the Board.

Birmingham Conservatoire’s Principal, Professor George Caird, is leaving after 17 years. He has worked with orchestras including the London Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, City of London Sinfonia and The Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields. Professor David Saint is currently Acting Principal.
