Manchester Camerata has appointed Hungarian musician GÁBOR TAKÁCS-NAGY as its new Music Director. A founding member of the Takács Quartet, Gábor will take over from DOUGLAS BOYD in September 2011.

HQ Theatres, the theatre division of Qdos Entertainment, has appointed Stuart Shanks to the role of General Manager. He was previously Head of Finance and Administration and then General Manager at the Hackney Empire.

She has been Chair of the Arvon Foundation and Rambert Dance Company, as well as a member of Arts Council England and Chair of the Lottery Panel. She is currently a trustee of the Nureyev Foundation, the Friends of the V&A Museum and the Stephen Spender Memorial Trust.
