LUCY CROMPTON-REID

Apples & Snakes, the performance poetry organisation, has appointed LUCY CROMPTON-REID as Director. She was previously Head of Public Engagement at the House of Lords and will take over from GERALDINE COLLINGE, who moves to the Royal Shakespeare Company.

GREG DYKE is to join the Ambassadors Theatre Group as Executive Chairman. He was formerly Director General of the BBC and holds a number of other chairs including the British Film Institute and Brentford Football Club.

DONNA HAMILTON has left Cultural Enterprise Office (CEO), where she was Operations Manager. She is replaced by JO BURNSIDE, who was most recently Learning and Operations Co-ordinator at Scottish Book Trust. LYNSEY SMITH and SALLY JOHNSTON have also joined CEO, to work on the ‘Starter for 6’ programme.

GLENN EARLE, Chief Operating Officer, Goldman Sachs International, and CLIVE SHERLING, formerly Chief Operating Officer, Apax Partners, have been appointed to the Board of the National Theatre.

South East Dance has appointed CHRIS FOGG as Creative Producer. He is currently Director of Dance for Take Art, the arts development agency for Somerset. South East Dance has also announced its four Associate Artists for the next two years: SUBATHRA SUBRAMANIAM, LUCY CASH, CHARLIE MORRISSEY and BEN WRIGHT.

JOANNA DAVIES, Senior Press and Media Officer at the Arts Council of Wales, has been appointed as the new Head of Communications for the University of Wales.

TONY HALL, Chief Executive, Royal Opera House, has stepped down as Chairman of Creative & Cultural Skills. The current Vice-Chairman, DAVID WORTHINGTON, is acting Chair.

The new Director of Tate Britain is PENELOPE CURTIS, Curator of the Henry Moore Institute. She replaces STEPHEN DEUCHAR, who will become Director of the Art Fund.

JON HARRIS, Producer at Shared Experience since 2002, is to leave the company to develop his coaching and training business.

City of London Sinfonia has appointed STEPHEN LAYTON as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor. MICHAEL COLLINS also becomes Principal Conductor.

Theatre, ANNA EVANS, has moved to the Royal Court Theatre.

Watford Palace Theatre has announced ALASTAIR ROBERTSON, who recently retired as Managing Director of Watford Borough Council, as its new Chair. He replaces PETER MCINERNE, who will retire next year.

Safle, Wales’s public art consultancy, has appointed SUE ESSEX as Chair of the Board of Trustees. She succeeds founding Chair HARRY JAMES.

CLAIRE FLANNERY has left Arts & Business, where she was Marketing and Communications officer, to set up ‘artfeelers’ in East London.

SARAH BRIGHAM is leaving Dundee Rep to become Director of The Point Eastleigh.
