Vivienne Illman has joined Arts Council England, North East as Executive Assistant Officer, and Stephen Wiper is the new Resource Development Officer.

Cathy Stafford (pictured) is moving from her role as Exhibitions Project Officer at the Crafts Council to the Cockpit Arts team as Events and Development Manager. She was a co-founder of Embassy Gallery, an artist-run gallery in Edinburgh.

The Bluecoat has appointed international arts consultant, Sue Harrison, as Chair. Previously Director of Arts at the British Council, Chief Executive of North West Arts and Deputy Director of Yorkshire and Humberside Arts, she replaces the outgoing Chair, Simon Ryder.

Chloë Reddaway (pictured) has left the National Campaign for the Arts after two years as Campaigns Manager. She is moving to new roles in press and communications at the Bishopsgate Institute and Hampden Capital Plc.

Claire Will has taken up the position of Head of Marketing and Communications at Contact Theatre, Manchester. Previously she was Senior Communications Officer at Museums Sheffield.

Chris Monks (pictured) will become the Artistic Director of the Stephen Joseph Theatre to succeed Alan Ayckbourn in the new year. He is currently a freelance theatre director and writer and an Associate Director at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester.

Paul Kelly, previously Principal Arts Officer for Plymouth City Council and Secretary at nalgao, has taken up the post of Senior Lecturer in Arts and Event Management at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. He is also on the management board of Groundwork South West.

Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company has appointed Karen Simpson (pictured) as Artistic Director. She was previously Creative Development Director at Sheffield Theatres and Artistic Director of Action Transport. She succeeds Brendan Murray, who returns to freelancing as a director and playwright.

West Yorkshire Playhouse has appointed Sheena Wrigley (pictured) as General Director and Joint Chief Executive. She was formerly Head of Theatres, Arts and Festivals at Bradford Metropolitan District Council and Chief Executive of Harrogate Theatre Trust.

At motiroti, Penny Andrews is leaving her role of Associate Producer whilst Rachel Feuchtwang becomes the new Executive Producer taking over from Karla Barnacle-Best.

Claire Murray (pictured), Head of Marketing at Royal & Derngate in Northampton, will be leaving her post at the end of June to pursue a freelance marketing career.

Arts Council England has appointed two new Executive Directors. Andrew Nairne (pictured), currently Director of Modern Art Oxford, joins as Executive Director, Arts Strategy. He was previously Director of Visual Arts at the Scottish Arts Council. Anupam Ganguli (pictured), currently Director of Finance for the Victoria and Albert Museum, will take up the position of Executive Director of Resources. He has previously worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers, HSBC and the BBC, and was Deputy Chair of Arts Council England, London.

Stagecraft Theatre Services in Salisbury has welcomed new Project Manager Kevin Hughes. He has project managed audio and visual installations at events and venues throughout the UK and commissioned the sound system at the O2.
