JACK MCNAMARA will succeed DANIEL BUCKROYD as Artistic Director of New Perspectives Theatre Company. He has previously been Assistant Director at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

London Philharmonic Orchestra has appointed a new Chair and President to its Board following a governance restructure. Founder and Chief Executive of London Music Masters VICTORIA SHARP is the first non-player to become Chair. The President is flautist and former Deputy Chair STEWART MCILWHAM.

The new Director of Halifax Festival is KATE LONGMATE. She has previously held posts at Holmfirth Arts Festival and the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond.

PAUL ROBINSON will remain as the sole Artistic Director of Theatre503 when joint Artistic Director TIM ROSEMAN returns to freelance projects at the end of the season.

VIKKI HEYWOOD CBE is to become the next Chair of the RSA, succeeding LUKE JOHNSON. Currently Executive Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, she will step down in September 2012.

Bow Arts has appointed ANGELA LAW as its new Business Manager. She was previously a freelance arts and regeneration consultant.

Co-founder and Artistic Director of the Print Room LUCY BAILEY is leaving the venue. ANDA WINTERS will continue as sole Artistic Director.

The RSC has appointed ERICA WHYMAN as Deputy Artistic Director. She steps down as Chief Executive and Artistic Director of Northern Stage after seven years in post.

CHLOË BARKER has left Turner Contemporary to become the new Media Relations Executive at BALTIC.

Theatre directors JOE HARMSTON and PATRICIA BENECKE will join the Belgrade Theatre as Creative Associates. They have both worked on recent productions at the theatre.

JAMES RUNCIE is the new Head of Literature and Spoken Word at Southbank Centre. An author and filmmaker, he has been Artistic Director of the Independent Bath Literature Festival since 2009.

Head of Marketing for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, ALAN GIBSON has been appointed as Director of Marketing and Communications for Marketing Edinburgh, a new campaign to sell Scotland’s capital around the world.

CHRIS HUMPHREY has joined Circomedia as Development Director. He was previously the South West Regional Executive Director for Arts Council England.

Creative Scotland has appointed four new members to its Board. They are: President of the Islay Gaelic Choir, FERGUS MUIR OBE; Deputy Chair of Bafta in Scotland, MAY MILLER; Managing Director and Executive Producer of Axis Animation, RICHARD SCOTT; and SANDRA GUNN, a Curriculum Director at City of Glasgow College. PROFESSOR GAYLE MCPHERSON and GWILYM GIBBONS are standing down.

Press Officer STEPHEN GUY is leaving National Museums Liverpool and going freelance, after 15 years with the organisation.

NEIL WEBB is stepping down as leader of the British Council’s Asia Pacific arts and creative industries programme to become Director of Drama and Dance.

CAROLINE ROUTH is the new Executive Producer of the Musical Theatre Network (formerly Musical Theatre Matters). She has been Co-Director of The Empty Space since co-founding the company in 2007.

NICK ADAMS is stepping down as Corporate Communications Officer for Arts Council England to become Communications Manager at the Barbican.

The new Executive Director of the Gate Theatre is CLARE SLATER. She has been Assistant Literary Manager at the National Theatre for the past three years.

MALCOLM SINCLAIR has been re-elected as President of Equity and will serve until 2014.

Three new Trustees have been appointed by National Museums Liverpool. JOE GODWIN is Director of BBC Children’s; GEORGE ANDREW MCCLUSKEY is lead singer and songwriter for Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark; and ANTHONY MCGUIRK has recently retired after more than 35 years’ in the Fire and Civil Defence profession.

Director of the Paul Mellon Centre, DR BRIAN ALLEN has been appointed to the National Portrait Gallery’s Board of Trustees for a four year period. He joins CHARLES SEBAG-MONTEFIORE and JOHN SINGER who were appointed last month.
