Two directors will replace JAMES BRINING at Dundee Rep when he joins West Yorkshire Playhouse: PHILIP HOWARD, who was Artistic Director of Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre but has more recently been teaching at Glasgow University; and JEMIMA LEVICK, currently Assistant Director at Dundee Rep.

Having worked at the Manchester’s Library Theatre Company for 11 years, most recently as Community and Education Director, LIZ POSTLETHWAITE is leaving to work part-time as the Young People's Programme Co-ordinator at Manchester Literature. She will also be working as Creative Director for her own company and pursuing freelance opportunities.

MARY HELEN YOUNG has joined the Cultural Contact Point UK team as Information Officer, having worked previously with grass-roots arts organisations and at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC.

Currently Deputy Chief Executive at Southbank Centre, CATHERINE MALLYON will succeed VIKKI HEYWOOD as Executive Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She will take up her new post in September 2012, joining RSC Chief Associate Director, GREGORY DORAN, who will take over from MICHAEL BOYD at the same time.

AGNES WILKIE has been appointed as Deputy Director at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art She previously worked for Northern Film & Media and is on the Board of international arts organisation ISIS.

CHRISTOPHER BAKER has been appointed Director of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. He steps down as Deputy Director of the Scottish National Gallery after nine years in post.

The Head of Casting for ATG Productions, NEIL RUTHERFORD, is leaving the company to pursue a freelance casting career both in the UK and Australia. STUART BURT has been appointed to replace him, and ELLIE COLLYER-BRISTOW is joining as Casting Associate.

Chairman of Ofcom COLETTE BOWE is the new Chairman of ABRSM. She succeeds LORD SUTHERLAND OF HOUNDWOOD, who steps down after a six-year tenure.

Bristol Music Trust has appointed two new figures to its senior management team. Freelance Programmer TODD WILLS will become Colston Hall’s Head of Programme, and ROSA CORBISHLEY will take up the position of Head of Development at Bristol Music Trust. She has previously worked at Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Salisbury International Arts Festival.

Director of Music for Arts Council England SUSANNA EASTBURN has been appointed as Chief Executive of Sound and Music. GUY MORLEY will stay on as interim Managing Director until she takes up the position in September.

ALEX EISENBERG is the new Digital Manager of the Live Art Development Agency. He has previously worked as a freelance Creative Producer for body>data>space. He joins KATY BAIRD, an experienced performance artist, who is the new Coordinator.

VICKY FEATHERSTONE will succeed DOMINIC COOKE as Artistic Director of the Royal Court Theatre when he steps down next year. She has been Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Scotland since it was set up in 2006, prior to which she was Artistic Director of new writing company Paines Plough Theatre Company for eight years.

PAM PFROMMER (pictured) and JONATHAN GOODACRE are joining the team at Audiences London Plus as Regional Directors for the East of England. They join JIM BREWSTER and ADRIENNE PYE, Regional Directors in the South West and South East, and EMILY BULL, Engagement manager for the South.

LORD LIPSEY of Tooting Bec has been appointed Chair of the Board of Governors of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. A Labour peer for the past 12 years, he is also Chair of the All Party Classical Music Group in parliament.

RAZANNE CARMEY is the new Executive Director of Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival. A playwright and director, she was founder and Artistic Director of Palestine Theatre in Motion.

The new Chief Executive of Sound and Music will be SUSANNA EASTBURN, who is currently Director, Music, at Arts Council England. She has previously held positions as Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and Executive Producer of the London International Festival of Theatre.

SHARON AMENT will be the new Director at the Museum of London. She is currently Director of Public Engagement at the Natural History Museum.

The Nuffield Theatre Southampton has announced that PATRICK SANDFORD will step down from his position as Artistic Director next year, after 25 years in post. The company will now appoint a Creative Producer to lead the artistic work.

MARK DA VANZO is the new Deputy Chief Executive at Pitlochry Festival Theatre. He has spent the past four years as Manager of Arts Investments at Creative New Zealand, prior to which he was Head of Business for Arts & Business London.

MICHELLE CARWARDINE–PALMER is joining the National Theatre Wales as Director of Administration and Development, and stepping down from her role as Executive Director of Salisbury Playhouse after five years in post.
