Pauline Tambling is to be Executive Director Programmes at Creative & Cultural Skills, from January 2008. She has been working as a freelance arts consultant since March 2007, including project management for the National Skills Academy, which she will continue to do. Prior to this she worked in the arts and education sectors, most recently at Arts Council England as Executive Director of Development.

Elizabeth Adlington (pictured) has joined Ambassador Theatre Group, as Chief Executive of Milton Keynes Theatre. She previously worked at Arts Council England, where she was Director of Touring and International Strategy, before that serving as Executive Director of the Oxford Stage Company.

Sarah Weir, Executive Director of Arts Council England, London, and Gus Casely-Hayford, Executive Director of Arts Strategy at the national office, have both resigned from their posts.

Aberdeen International Youth Festival has appointed Stewart Aitken (pictured) as Chief Executive. He joins from Wigan Pier Theatre Company where he was the Artistic Director, and has previously worked for a number of arts organisations, including Purves Puppets and First Base Theatre Company.

Music promotion agency spnm has appointed Shoël Stadlen and Ed McKeon to act as Joint Executive Directors until March 2008. They take over the leadership of the organisation from Abigail Pogson, who is moving to Spitalfields Festival as Executive Director.

Brighton Dome and Festival has announced that Chief Executive Nick Dodds (pictured) is to step down after seven years in the role. He leaves to set up his own festival and events business.

Katy McKeown is the new part-time Dance Officer at the Scottish Arts Council. She joins from YDance, where she was Education Director.

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has appointed Mark Ball (pictured) as its Head of Events and Exhibitions. He is the founding Director of Fierce Earth and the Fierce Festival, and will join the RSC early in 2008.

The Founding Directors of Diversions, Dance Company of Wales have taken on new roles. Ann Sholem will lead the organisation as Artistic Director whilst Roy Campbell-Moore takes the new role of Artistic Associate. Emma Kirsopp, previously Producer of the company, has been appointed Deputy Director.

Dance South West has appointedSarah Grayer (pictured above), formerly of Oxfordshire Youth Arts Partnership, as General Manager, with Emma Flatley (pictured below), formerly of Dance Bristol, joining as Partnership Director.

Arts & Business, North West has appointed Ian Sanders (pictured below) as Regional Director. He joins from Ticketmaster, where he was Regional Manager.
