PHIL CASTANG has been confirmed as Music Education Council's new chair.
Castang is currently Bristol Beacon's Director of Creative Learning and Engagement, having worked in music education for 25 years.
He has previously worked as CEO of Newham Music Trust and co-founder of the International Guitar Foundation.
Music Education Council also welcomed four new trustees: Open Up Music CEO BARRY FERRIMOND, Drake Music Scotland Senior Programme Manager EMMA LINES, London Music Fund CEO CHRISSY KINSELLA and Senior Partnerships and Marketing Manager at the Incorporated Society of Musicians RUTH McPHEARSON.
