(L-R) Monica Chadha and Edgar Wright

Five new members have been appointed to the BFI’s Board of Governors.

They include board advisor and consultant MONICA CHADHA, producer and Co-Founder of Number 9 Films ELIZABETH KARLSEN, and Executive Vice-President and COO of Electronic Arts LAURA MIELE.

They are joined by Head of Global Film at Netflix SCOTT STUBER and writer, producer and director EDGAR WRIGHT.

Each board member will serve a four year term starting in May.

The BFI says filling its Board of Governors is an important milestone for transforming into a “dynamic, digital first organisation”.

BFI Chair TIM RICHARDS, who worked closely with the DCMS during the selection process, welcomed the new governors.

“Their knowledge and experience across film, television, games, technology and business combined with that of our existing governors, will be invaluable to the BFI and the industry as a whole.”
