Recently appointed Chief Executive of the Birmingham Hippodrome and outgoing CEO of Leicester’s Curve Theatre, FIONA ALLAN will become Chair of The Space, the joint venture between the BBC and Arts Council England. Starting in September, she steps into the vacancy created earlier this year when ALEX GRAHAM left after a year in post, citing lack of time to do the project justice.

NEIL MURRAY and GRAHAM MCLAREN will be the new Directors of the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. Both will leave the National Theatre of Scotland, where they have been Executive Producer and Associate Director respectively. They replace Director FIACH MAC CONGHAIL, who will leave the theatre at the end of 2016 after 12 years in post.
SIMON MELLOR, Executive Director of Arts and Culture at Arts Council England, is being released to Manchester City Council on a part-time basis in order to take up the role of Project Director of The Factory, Manchester’s new theatre and arts venue, which is set to open by 2019.
CAROLINE ROUTH, currently the Executive Producer for the Musical Theatre Network, is to join Nuffield later this year as its first Executive Director.

Former Chief Executive of Rambert Dance SUE WYATT will be Chair Designate when the Association of Dance of the African Diaspora, Dance UK, National Dance Teachers Association and Youth Dance England merge into a new organisation from April 2016.
