Czech conductor TOMAS HANUS is to become Music Director at Welsh National Opera from autumn 2016, following a career of conducting symphonies internationally. CARLO RIZZI, who was Music Director of WNO from 1992 to 2001 and again from 2004 to 2008, has taken up the new role of Conductor Laureate with immediate effect.
