RUTH MACKENZIE will be the new Chair of Arts Council England’s London Area Council from 1 July. Currently Artistic Director of Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris and for the Holland Festival in Amsterdam, she previously led the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. Her CV includes senior positions at Scottish Opera, Chichester Festival Theatre, DCMS and Nottingham Playhouse, and she was previously Drama Officer at Arts Council England.
