Hull Truck Theatre has appointed two new members of staff: ADAM POWNALL joins as Theatre Producer & Programmer from Lincoln Drill Hall, where he has been Artistic Programme and Participation Manager; and OLIVER BROWN becomes Head of Production and Technical. He was previously Technical Manager at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax.

BEN MCKNIGHT is the new Director of Press & PR for Manchester International Festival (MIF). He was previously Director of Communications at Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and prior to that was Senior Press Officer in the Mayor’s Press Office at the Greater London Authority.
Head of Development for Wilton’s Music Hall in East London RACHAEL PALMER is leaving the organisation to join Liverpool’s Unity Theatre. She will take on the newly created role of General Manager, leading on strategic management of the theatre with a view to increasing its financial resilience. She has previously worked in development roles at the National Centre for Circus Arts and the Roundhouse Trust.
London dance company Boy Blue has appointed SHAWAB IQBAL as Learning and Participation Producer. In the past he has held roles at Theatre Royal Stratford East and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Re:Bourne, and worked in a freelance capacity.

The new Artistic Director at the newly refurbished Queen’s Hall Arts Centre in Hexham will be KATY TAYLOR, who is currently Executive Director of The Witham, a community arts centre in Barnard Castle. Following The Witham’s £3m revamp, she became Assistant Manager in 2013, before taking on the leadership role the following year.
