Currently Chief Executive of Leicester’s Curve Theatre, FIONA ALLAN will become the new Chief Executive of Birmingham Hippodrome when STUART GRIFFITHS moves to Ambassador Theatre Group in July. Her other arts roles have been as Head of Programming at Sydney Opera House, CEO of Sydney Film Festival and Artistic Director of Wales Millennium Centre.
EMMA RICE, Joint Artistic Director of Cornwall-based Kneehigh theatre company, will take over from DOMINIC DROMGOOLE as Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe from April 2016.
After eight years running the Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East, AMANDA KING is leaving to concentrate on her work as a freelance visual arts consultant.
After 15 years at Southbank Centre, JANE BEESE, Head of Contemporary Music, will be leaving to join the Roundhouse as the new Head of Music.
The new Artistic and Executive Director of Newbury’s Watermill Theatre will be PAUL HART, currently an associate of Propeller Theatre company. He replaces HEDDA BEEBY, who will be stepping down at the end of this year.
WENDY SMITH, who has worked in senior positions in the Learning and Participation team at Sage Gateshead for 12 years, has been appointed as the organisation’s new Director of Learning and Participation.
DAVID BICKLE will join the V&A in August as Director of Design, Exhibitions and FuturePlan. Currently a Senior Partner at Hawkins\Brown Architects, he will be responsible for the care and development of the V&A’s buildings, as well as the presentation of all of museum’s permanent collections and exhibitions.
DR XERXES MAZDA will be the new Director of Collections at National Museums Scotland. His most recent post has been Deputy Director, Engagement, with the Royal Ontario Museum, prior to which he held positions with the British Museum and the Science Museum.
The new Executive Director of the National Orchestra for All, Kate Wareham, names those who inspire her work.

The British Film Institute (BFI) has appointed DEBORAH WILLIAMS to the new role of Diversity Manager. She leaves Arts Council England, where she has been Senior Officer, Policy and Research, Equality and Diversity.
