Formerly Head of Brighton Festival, JANE MCMORROW has started her new role as Director of Brighton-based arts charity Creative Future. She left the festival in 2009, taking on freelance work with organisations including Arts Council England, Clean Break Theatre Company and The Creative Foundation, and was a Specialist Advisor for the Culture Department at the London Mayors office.
A group of 19 large-scale theatres across the UK has announced the appointment of AMY DOLAN as its new Tour Coordinator. Previously Company Manager & International Tour Producer with Scottish Ballet, DOLAN will succeed HEATHER KNIGHT, Dance Consortium’s Coordinator since its inception.
Previously producer at the Gate Theatre, DAISY COOPER – who has previously worked in the BBC’s TV Locations Department – has been appointed Producer of theatre company Out of Joint.
Community Arts North West (CAN) Creative Director and Co-Founder CILLA BAYNES will be stepping down from the organisation in the autumn.
The Northampton-based contemporary art organisation has welcomed several new appointments to its board: DEBORAH DE HAES, management consultant and governance specialist; DYLAN FOX, Artist/ Activist/ Trans Advocate; DR ANDREW HEWITT, artist and academic; and HEATHER PEAK MORISON, artist and co-founder of Studio Morison.

Chief Executive JANET ARCHER has left Creative Scotland after five years in post. Archer’s former deputy IAIN MUNRO will assume leadership of the organisation as Acting Chief Executive and Accountable Officer until a successor is found. Munro served a previous six-month stint heading the organisation in 2013, before Archer was appointed.

Curator and Head of Programmes at Gasworks in London since 2011, ROBERT LECKIE has been selected as the new Director of Spike Island in Bristol. He will take up the role in the autumn.
As the organisation enters its 30th year, Theatr Iolo has appointed LEE LYFORD as Artistic Director and MICHELLE PEREZ as General Manager. LYFORD joins the company following spells at Theatre Royal Bath and the Unicorn Theatre, and PEREZ joins from Newport’s Riverfront Theatre, where she was also General Manager.
Theatre Director MATTHEW XIA has become Trustees at theatre company Cardboard Citizens. He is a founding member of Act for Change, a trustee for Artistic Directors of the Future and an ambassador for Creative Futures.
The Box, Plymouth, the major redevelopment transforming Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery into a cultural and heritage venue, has appointed NIGEL HURST as Head of Contemporary Arts. He will join in September, coming from the Saatchi Gallery in London, where he was most recently Gallery Director and CEO.
