What does your organisation do?
It works in partnership with key statutory, voluntary and community agencies to promote social inclusion and find creative and sustainable solutions to overcome social exclusion and promote joined up governance city-wide

What does you job involve?
The project aims to:
? position the arts within the wider social justice policy and development framework
? support collaborative arts practice by encouraging arts professionals to work in partnership
? encourage operational coherence across the sector to facilitate a city-wide approach to service delivery
? establish a framework of performance indicators for the arts and social justice
? investigate the development of training and employment ladders within the arts sector

Who did you used to work for?
? Arts & Heritage Development for Antrim Borough Council in the incomparable Clotworthy Arts Centre
? Community Arts Development for Ards Borough Council
? Rural Arts Development with Down Community Arts

What do you like most about your present job?
Working with inspiring arts organisations in an urban environment

What is most difficult in your present post?
Missing the ebb and flow of programming ? at least you know when the job?s done!

What is your career ambition?
To be able to influence policy to allow for long-term relationships to develop between communities and organisations of excellence

Belinda Loftus for trusting me at the start and Maureen Armstrong, for her professionalism, determination, vision and good advice

If you could have done any job, what would it be? Run a guest ranch in Montana

If you had three wishes for the future of the arts, what would they be?
? for culture to be an equal partner at the table of ?hard? politics
? for 3-5 year realistically resourced and strategically planned programmes to be the norm
? for cultural interventions to be seen as more effective and less expensive than CCTV regeneration
