What does your organisation do?
macrobert produces and presents a programme of film, theatre, dance, music and comedy with particular emphasis on work with and for young people in a flexible child-centred environment.

What does you job involve?
? developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to position the macrobert as a centre of excellence in the arts, and for work with and for children
? marketing macrobert activities to agreed targets including artistic, education, training and trading
? working with focus groups and children?s consultants, encouraging their involvement and advice.
? producing and writing education newsletters, the main brochure and WOW children?s magazine, and developing online marketing and communication strategies

Who did you used to work for? Business Development Manager, Mustgo.com, a specialist travel web site. My main responsibility was to promote the site to both operators and the public, and I organised and took part in the launch of the website in London, Bristol and Leeds.

What do you like most about your present job? I love everything about my job, even the hectic parts, and have a very supportive Director.

What is most difficult in your present post?
Not enough time in the day.

What is your career ambition?
To set up my own business as a marketing and PR consultant.

Who has most influenced your career to date?
Myself! I started studying primary teaching but at the beginning of 3rd year realised it was not for me. I changed course and studied a further 4 years for a degree in Business Studies.

If you could have done any job, what would it be?
Run a café bar with my friend Jennifer.

If you had three wishes for the future of the arts, what would they be?
? more funding
? more recognition for children?s work
? more money to create work for teenagers
