The Arts and Humanities Research Board is seeking applications for grants of up to £5,000 towards the costs of research projects in the performing and creative arts. A consultation period is underway as part of a research project looking into the professional development of culturally diverse, disabled arts professionals. Funded by Arts Council England, the research is intended to inform future policy in this area. t: 020 7681 7160.

The Charity Commission website now includes a postcode detector to enable grant giving bodies and other interested parties to verify that a charity has submitted its accounts to the Commission. All charities with an income over £10,000 are legally obliged to submit their accounts annually.

A new booklet promoting awareness of disability issues and the Disability Discrimination Act has been published by The Arts Council of Northern Ireland. ‘Towards Inclusion’, offers advice on good practice to arts organisations as well as providing a list of additional resources. w: http://www.artscouncil-ni.org
